Wisely is short for Willy Wisely, the Minneapolis, Minn., native responsible for this AM-ready power pop band.
William and the Conquerors was the name of his Brit pop-leaning outfit.
He also ventured into musical theatre, starring as communist Mark Blitzstein in a production of "The Cradle Will Rock."
In 2000, he moved to LA, where he founded the musical movement EVOC-POP (that's evocative pop for the uniniated).
