Thrash pioneers Megadeth dispelled the myth that Metal was stupid with political lyrics and numerical riffs. Megadeth was formed in 1983 after guitarist Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica. Megadeth signed to Capitol on the strength of the "Killing Is My Business, And Business Is Good" album. In 1990, Megadeth's Dave Mustaine was arrested for driving under the influence and entered rehab. In 2002, Megadeth's Dave Mustaine was diagnosed with radial neuropathy -- compressed nerves in his guitar-playing hand.
