Xavier Rudd is an Australian surfer by day and a sensitive acoustic guitar-playing singer-songwriter by night. Xavier Rudd garners obvious comparisons to fellow surfer-singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, as well as Ben Harper. Obvious comparisons aside, Xavier Rudd sings more like Paul Simon on some songs and Gomez's Ben Ottewell on other songs. Rudd performs as a multi-instrumentalist, sometimes playing with a few didgeridoos (despite critics' pleas to didgeridon't). Rudd concerts teem with women whose small ankle tattoos feature either a dolphin or a sun.
